Description

A graduate of Polytechnique and the École nationale supérieure des mines de Paris, Patricia Blanc has been General Inspector of the environment and sustainable development since 2022. She recently participated in the drafting of several general inspection reports on adaptation to climate change, drought management and even plastic pollution. On behalf of the General Secretariat for Ecological Planning, she contributed to the drafting of a report dedicated to the new Ecophyto 2030 strategy on the reduction of pesticides. Patricia Blanc began her career in 1997 at the Regional Directorate of Industry, Research and the Environment of Lorraine. In 2000, she joined the Ministry of the Environment, where she held various positions, notably those of general director of risk prevention from 2012 to 2015, then general director of the Seine-Normandie Water Agency. In 2021, she became Director of the cabinet of Bérangère Abba, then Secretary of State for Biodiversity. She also chaired the board of directors of CEREMA and the intervention commission of the French Biodiversity Office.
